Melissa began her veterinary career over 15 years ago, starting as a kennel technician and working her way through nearly every role in the clinic—from receptionist to veterinary assistant, and eventually earning her degree in Animal Science from Penn Foster College.
She is currently completing her bachelor’s degree with honors at the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating in 2025.
Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Melissa relocated to San Antonio in 2016 and has been an integral part of the DCVH family since its opening in 2017. Her deep passion for client and patient care drives her dedication to making every visitor feel like family.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys training her Belgian Malinois, running, working out, and spending time at home with her two beautiful children and amazing husband. She’s also a proud dog mom to two miniature Dachshunds and a GSP mix—and a loyal Georgia football fan.
